The Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to granting last wishes for men and women suffering from Stage 4 (metastatic) breast cancer, has received thousands of wedding gowns for its "Brides Against Breast Cancer" Nationwide Tour of Gowns.
On January 28, 29 and 30, the Tour will return to Atlanta with a truckload of grand and beautiful bridal gowns from well-known sources in sizes ranging from 2 to 44. Most gowns in the collection have been donated by members of the bridal industry; some are runway samples, modeled at recent Market shows. Others are gifts from individuals across the country.
The selection - one of the largest assembled in the U.S. -- will include hundreds of current styles from a long list of well-known designers and manufacturers at unbelievably low prices. An impressive array of veils, crinolines and other accessories will also be offered.
Most gowns have been marked down 40% to 75% below traditional salon prices. Prices range from $99 to $799 for values to $3,500. A collection of Designer and Couture bridals retailing to $8,000 will also be included, with none priced higher than $2,499.

My Obsession
One of my favorite obsessions is a little TLC show called "Say Yes to the Dress". When I was a wedding planner, going to the bridal shop was as exciting for me as my client. I have even been known to try on a veil or two...maybe three...these things happen!

Love This!
Life can be so busy and crazy especially for brides...hope you enjoy this...
Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio
1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone...
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, and wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, and then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ''In five years, will this matter?"
26. Always choose life.
27. Forgive everyone everything.
28. What other people think of you is none of your business.
29. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.
30. However good or bad a situation is it will change.
31. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
32. Believe in miracles.
33. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
34. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
35. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
36. Your children get only one childhood.
37. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
38. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
39. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
40. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
41. The best is yet to come.
42. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
43. Yield.
44. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

4th of July
As many of you know, my husband and I both work out of the house so it's important to get away and recharge sometimes...our spot is Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina...we love it!
Horseback riding is awesome at Biltmore...
very relaxing
We met Thomas and Deanna on our segway tour. If you look between them in the water, you can see the reflection of the Biltmore House.
The segways are a blast...thank goodness we don't have a picture of me wiping out!!
Julie, Jack and Patrick...I was so worried about Patrick and he was doing circles around us!!
On Saturday night, we sat on our terrace and watched the fireworks.
Hope you all had a safe and happy 4th of July!!

Food, Glorious Food
Last night, we decided to get out and have dinner at our favorite local restaurant, Sean's American Bistro. It's located in the new Buford Village at the corner of Buford Highway and Hamilton Mill Road. It would definitely be a great rehearsal dinner spot if you're in the area. The food is awesome. I had the lobster ravioli last night...yum! Everything is fresh, delicious and the service is great...we love it!
Also, try...

Torie and Kyle are Getting Married 06.13.09!
Meeting Torie was just an example of how sometimes things are just meant to be; Torie had been visiting Glendalough Manor on the day one of my other brides, Trimicia, was getting married; she saw the program fans for her wedding and absolutely loved them but didn't know who had made them...flash forward to January at the Georgia Bridal Show at the Cobb Centre where Torie and I meet and discover those programs were done by Socially Write! She is truly a sweetheart and we wish her and Kyle every happiness tomorrow when they wed at Glendalough Manor!!!

A New Day
Okay, I have put off blogging forever but today I attended the Women's Entrepreneur Networking Brunch hosted by Bakal Towns, owner of Fanti Events in Suwanee. If I'm going to learn how to swim, I have to get into the water...let me know how it's going!
